Kelly and Chad: Wedding at The Ranch

I envy anyone who got married this September.  Seriously, can anyone believe this weather?  It’s like our umpteenth day in Vermont where the weather has been sunny and 70, and I LOVE IT.  We haven’t seen rain in weeks, and all my favorite fall activities have been done in shorts with sunscreen.  Not too shabby.

Kelly and Chad’s wedding day was no exception!  These two lovely people tied the knot at The Ranch in Southwick, and it turned out to be the perfect day for a wedding.  Beautiful sunny skies, and not too hot.  Kelly and Chad’s family and friends had an amazing time dancing the night away, and it was great for me to be able to be there documenting these two and their love for each other.  Kelly and I were emailing a few days before the wedding, and we were saying that it really was perfect that they found me, because we were such a good fit for each other, and once again I had that lucky photographer feeling that I was photographing friends instead of clients.  It was a gorgeous day;  here are some of my favorites from their wedding!

Jen and Bryan: Quonquont Farm Wedding

Two weeks ago yesterday, I was back in Massachusetts to photograph Jen and Bryan's farm wedding in Whately!  Honestly it seems like FOREVER ago that I first met with these two.... it was way before my Ireland trip, so it seems like a lifetime ago!  Bryan and Jen planned a beautiful wedding at the Quonquont Farm, a venue that's fairly new to the MA wedding scene and one that I completely fell in love with.  Their coordinator Jenelle is fantastic and completely took care of everyone on the big day.  Jen and Bryan had a hot but GORGEOUS July day, and I was lucky enough to have my awesome friend Lesley Arak second shooting for me.  It was a great day and here are my favorites for your viewing pleasure!  :)

This is why second shooters are amazing to have... the next two photos are Lesley's.... I ended up liking her angle for the First Look better than mine!!  :)

And they lived happily ever after!  ;-)  Jen and Bryan, thank you so much for having Lesley and I at your wedding!  It means the world to me that you trusted me with your wedding day and I hope you had an amazing time.

Danielle and Tommy

Happy weekend!  I cannot believe it, but this is my last weekend here in West Springfield, at my house.  Tomorrow I leave for Bridgewater, where I'll spend two days with my BFFL, and then she brings me to the airport on Tuesday afternoon.  And then, IRELAND.  Holy crap, it's so close it's scary.  Especially since I'm now battling a damn cold.  But I digress...

Back in September I helped my friend Andi out on a wedding for our friend Eric Foley Photography.  Danielle and Tommy were married at Water's Edge in Westbrook, Connecticut, a place I hadn't been to since 2010 when I helped Tania out with Sarah and Rob's wedding!  Water's Edge is beautiful... literally, on the water, and they have a spacious lawn for wedding ceremonies.  Danielle and Tommy had one of those absolutely perfect days that couples dream about... beautiful and sunny, but not too hot.  It was a great day and this was a great couple.  Here are some favorites!

I started out with Tommy and the guys...

Then I headed back to hang out with Andi, Danielle and the girls...

Husband and wife!

It was very bright on the beach... while Andi rocked it with the girls I did some different group shots...

We headed up to the front of the venue for a little shade...

One of my all-time favorite photos... that's Andi with the groom, Danielle making the best (faux) face ever, and the best man giving his approval....

Love these...

Beautiful bride!

The end :)  Thanks for having me Eric!

Kim and Franco

Back in October I helped my friend Olivia Gird out at Franco and Kim's wedding!  Franco and Kim were married in Revere in a traditional Cambodian ceremony, and I have to say, this being my first, it was very, very cool to experience.  It was funny because October is towards the end of wedding season, and as much as you try to look at each wedding with fresh eyes, by that time in the year you sometimes feel like you've seen one wedding, you've seen them all.  I was feeling that way when I arrived to this wedding... and oh how wrong I was!  The dresses, the songs, the gifts, the traditions... it was all very, very cool, very different and very beautiful.  Here are some of my favorite images from the day!

Franco, his family and all the guests actually had to leave the house, walk down the street, and then march back and present an offering at the door in order to be let in...

So many pretty colors!

You'll notice they had to wear several different outfits... there was a dresser there to tie their robes properly and make sure everything went smoothly...

This is the one part I had seen before... Katie and Sarin incorporated the red yarn tying into their ceremony back in May!

Maybe my favorite picture ever...

I'll end with my favorite shots of the day... Franco and Kim being pelted by rice, flowers, and everything else in the room :)

Congratulations to Kim and Franco, and thank you for having me Olivia!
