Mel and Marc

In early May, my friend Melissa and her husband Marc headed over to Ireland to visit me!  You know you're on a long vacation when you're lucky enough to be in a place long enough for people to "visit" you :)  I was thrilled to see them because I had really been missing friends and family from home... when I met someone, it really helped alleviate that, and to be honest I didn't miss home half as much, but there were still days when I really wished I had my own friends around to drink with or laugh with and catch up on life with.  It was awesome to have Mel and Marc come over because I got to see the Ring of Kerry again and show them a few of my favorite things about Ireland, and I also got to see new things with them and do their anniversary photos!  They are celebrating 5 years of marriage this summer, and Mel asked me if I wouldn't mind taking a few photos of them while they were visiting.  I met them in Killarney, we stayed in Kenmare for two nights, then Doolin for a night, and rounded out their week in Galway.  I decided to take them back to Cong for their session, because it's not too far from Galway and I thought it was a cute little village.  Here are some of my favorites... happy anniversary Mel and Marc!!!  Love you guys!

Next up- Galway!  My absolute favorite city in Ireland :)

The Jamnik Family

Happy Wednesday!  I can't believe we're already almost to December, but I'm completely fine with it.  Only 3 more months until Ireland!!!!  (Yes, I plan on providing a countdown every time I blog.  It's fine lol).  My friend Erica called me last night and told me she's been looking up plane tickets and wants to come over while I am there.  And not to put any pressure on her, but she def should.  I'm obviously SUPPERRRRRRR FUN to hang out with and the ticket prices she mentioned were crazy cheap.  And if those reasons aren't enough, there's the Guinness, the music, the scenery... just sayin' ;-)

Anyways, I'm hoping to blog A LOT this winter.  I second shot SO MANY WEDDINGS this summer and I'd love to share some of those images.  I'm pretty caught up on everything else, so hopefully I'll be able to keep on top of that!  This is one of my most recent family sessions, done for my friend Erin and her family.  Erin and I went to college together and she was my sister in Gamma Phi Beta.  We had some amazing and crazy times together in college ("is my pizza in the back of that car with you?") and we've both had some amazing and crazy times since.  Her life has taken her lots of places in the past couple of years, but now she, her husband Jesse, and their daughter Caylee are back in New England, which I know she is excited about.  I got to meet up with them in RI last weekend and we walked around the park and took some family pics.  Here are some of my favorites!  xo.

The Hill Family: Mini Session

The last family I had the pleasure of meeting up with last Sunday was the Hill family!  I went to college at Bridgewater State with Adam and Michelle, and Adam and I worked together for campus police for several semesters.  Our friendship came in handy years later when I would want to go out with friends to the Black Rose in Boston and Adam would let us skip the line and cover charge :)  And when he and Michelle got married, I got a text from my friend Molly... their wedding was the first she had ever photographed, as an assistant for Pattison Photography!  Such a small world.  Anyways, I adore these two, and meeting their daughters, it was easy to adore them too!  Brooke let her tongue out the whole session (we're still not quite sure why lol) and Addison was such a smiley baby.  Here are some of my favorites!

The Gavin Family: Mini Session

Whoo!  What a weekend, let me tell you.  I have been a nutcase since Friday morning, when a huge computer issue pretty much determined my weekend to be an absolute nightmare.  And with this storm coming, things have been even more nuts.  Friday was spent glued to my computer with the computer guy, Saturday I was at a wedding, and yesterday I made the mistake of trying to go to Target for supplies.  Yeah right.  I walked out with a box of graham crackers and a bag of chips.  Let's hope this hurricane spares us the trauma of last October's snow storm.  That would really stink for the kids of the neighborhood if Halloween was cancelled two years in a row!

Anywho, moving on.  I have a lot of blog posts coming up and hopefully we'll have power in the next few days so I can continue to share them with you.  The next family up on the blog is the Gavin's.  I have photographed them 3 times now, and I'm always so flattered when past clients ask me to photograph their families again!  Emma was 3 when I first started taking their picture, and when I saw her last weekend, I couldn't believe how big her and Bailey had gotten!  Bailey is now 3, Emma is 5, and she couldn't stop talking about her "boyfriend" Tommy :)  Way too cute!  Jen looked amazing as always, and it was great to catch up with her and Jimmy!  Here are a couple of my favorites from their mini session...

So great to see you, Gavin's!!
