Rebecca and Brian

Back in May, I was lucky enough to accompany my friend Lynne Graves to Maine for the weekend for Rebecca and Brian's wedding.  Rebecca and Brian were married in York Harbor, a place I grew up going with my mom and her friend and a couple other families.  I have not been up that way since I was about 10, so when Lynne asked me to second shoot I jumped right on it.  What I didn't realize is that not only would we have the most gorgeous weather weekend possible, but the bride and groom put us up both Friday and Saturday nights in the inn where they held their reception.  And since their wedding was a day wedding, we basically had two full nights to hang out in Maine, stare at the ocean, and eat our faces off.  Yup, it was pretty much heaven :)

Here is the beautiful York Harbor Inn!  I honestly cannot recommend this place enough.  Everyone there was so friendly from the minute we arrived, it is adorable, it is right across the street from the water, the rooms were bursting with New England charm (yup, I just said bursting), and the beds were soooooo comfy.  There were also two restaurants inside the inn, both with amazing food and good drink specials.  I mean, they had creme brulee for Pete's sake... my favorite dessert EVER.  Not to mention the bartender was pretty easy on the eyes.  Oh, and their continental breakfast was sooooo good, and our host Jack was amazing to talk to each morning and told us the best local stories.  Yup, I could go on and on.  But let's get to some pics, shall we?

And then I drove down the road to another inn that the York Harbor Inn owns, to hang out with the groom for a bit...

I loved Brian's family!  They definitely made me feel right at home.

Time for a First Look!  I really adore when couples do this... it makes the day go by so much smoother!

Looooooove the moment where they just kind of take it all in!

As soon as they saw each other for the first time, I headed inside to capture room details while Lynne worked her magic with couples portraits of Rebecca and Brian.   The rooms where their guests would be eating were gorgeous.  Very vintage, very New England.  The flowers and table cards Brian and Rebecca used were perfect- very bright looking, clean lines, and simple arrangements.  The fact that all the windows on one side of the room looked out over the ocean made it that much more special!

Back across the street, brunch began and Brian and Rebecca's family and friends toasted them...

After the meal was served, we headed into the other room for some dancing...

At the end of the reception, we headed back down to the beach with the wedding party for a few more shots.  It was perfect weather and the perfect time of day, and the bride and groom didn't mind kicking off their shoes and getting their attire a bit wet and sandy for our photos :)

I'll end with my favorite.  Congratulations to Rebecca and Brian, and thank you so much for having me Lynne!  XOXO.
